2. Thanks so much for sharing, Paul! I went ahead and updated the list with all the items I could find on Amazon here in the US.

   I have to admit, I’m jealous at all the options you have in Europe. I’ve been watching SHARP air purifiers for the longest time, but here in the US it seems that only the highest end ones ($400+) are made in Thailand, while all the others are made in China. Brands like Sola are invisible on Amazon US, and brands like Unger are all outsourced to China for the US market.

   Also aggravatingly, on Amazon in the US when I search for “UGEARS” I get a page full of listings from a China knock-off brand named ROKR, which has stolen every UGEARS design. Clueless American consumers won’t bother to see that UGEARS is made in Ukraine (which could use our support) and will buy this cheap China knock-off. Thanks for sharing–I will definitely be buying these models in the future for my daughter (okay, really for me :P)

   It sounds like you scored a pretty good haul on Black Friday, congratulations! 🙂 I ended up buying a bunch of stuff on my list, including the Philips toothbrush, the Samsung SSD, and the L.L. Bean snowtube 🙂

4. It may seem that we have more options, but here it’s difficult as well. I also come across products that are only available in America, of which we only have Chinese alternatives.

   Sola is super, I have several tools of this brand, most of them produced in Austria and England. However, some products also come from China. If from Europe, it is printed on the product.

   Very sad about UGEARS, they indeed need our support right now. You have stated this before about the search results. I also often see that when I search for a certain brand, I’m led to Chinese alternatives. You really have to pay attention.

   As for the Philips toothbrush. It’s nice that they don’t come from China anymore. I used to always have Sonicare. They were then produced in the USA. However, this has long since become China and we have therefore completely switched to Oral B (made in Germany).

5. Hello! I’m looking for a soundbar accessory for my Sony TV, the kind that you can use to attached to the TV above or one I can mount on the wall. I posted questions on Amazon where some potential accessories I selected as to where the item was manufactured. No luck. Anything, Steve?
