(If you’d like to see a list of timeless, classic toys not made in China visit the Best Toys Not Made in China page).
I normally update this blog post once a year around Christmas, but I’ve decided that I’ll continue to keep it updated through the year. On this site, I maintain two separate lists: this page which covers the top selling toys on the Amazon Best Seller list that are NOT made in China, and this page which covers iconic toys that every family should have, mostly made in the USA.
Tariffs have done a great job at diversifying manufacturing. I’m seeing toys made all over the place now, including some that are coming back to the USA. Unfortunately, if Amazon is any indication, Americans are still buying generic slop by the shovelful.
You can do you part by avoiding toys made in China. Those are mostly junk anyway—China manufacturing uses the lowest cost workers, the lowest cost materials, and the lowest quality assurance.

Best Selling Toys on Amazon in Christmas 2025
Here’s an archive of the top selling toys from Christmas 2025. I’ll keep this list up for those who want to shop for these through the year.
- TOSY Magnet Pyramid – I was thrilled to see this on the top of the best-seller list. They’re made by Vietnamese toy company TOSY and are a fantastic toy for creativity for just old-fashioned fidgeting. Made in Vietnam. Their cube toys are also a winner.
- Nintendo Switch 2 – Unlike in August when these were impossible to get, these are widely available now. As I demonstrated back then, if you get these in the USA, you’ll get one made in Vietnam.
- Lego Sets – As long as you’re not buying within China, you’ll get a set that’s manufactured in one of their worldwide facilities, such as Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Mexico, or their newest factory in the USA. Impressive that about half of all the best-selling toys on Amazon are Legos.

- LEGO Botanicals Japanese Red Maple Bonsai Tree (10348)
- Bluey’s Family House Building Toy (11203)
- LEGO Botanicals Artificial Wildflower Bouquet (10313)
- Meta Quest 3S 128GB – This is literally a coin flip; based on news reports 50% of these are made in China and 50% in Vietnam. It’s kind of a false dichotomy, as both factories are owned by China-owned Goertek. Still, if you’ve had your heart set on a VR headset, this is a chance to get one that’s at least made by Vietnamese workers. Same for the 512GB version.
- NBA 2K26 for Playstation 5 – According to the label, this disc is made in Austria and assembled in the USA.
- UNO Card Game – These had been made in China, but based on my research Mattel has shifted manufacturing to the USA or India. You might want to check a brick-and-mortar, or make use of Amazon’s return policy if you do get a China-made one.
- Apple Watch SE 3 – This is another one where you’ll have a decent chance of finding one made in Vietnam, but be sure to verify at a brick-and-mortar or use Amazon’s return policy. Same with the Watch Series 11, also on the best seller list.
- Donkey Kong Bananza for Nintendo Switch 2 – Made in Japan. It’s interesting how video game cartridges is one of those products that have escaped the made in China trap. Likely because video game makers know that their software would be instantly pirated, even faster than they are today.
- Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds for Nintendo Switch 2 – Made in Austria
- Bluey: The Videogame for Nintendo Switch – Made in Japan
- Monopoly Deal NFL Edition Game – Hasbro has been a leader in diversifying manufacturing out of China. This one is made in Vietnam
- Connect 4 Frenzy Game – Another Hasbro game made in Vietnam
- Pokémon™ Legends: Z-A for Nintendo Switch 2 – Made in Japan
- Super Mario Galaxy™ + Super Mario Galaxy™ 2 for Nintendo Switch – Made in Japan
- Monopoly – Made in USA. Technically the plastic parts (houses and hotels) are made in China, but I give Hasbro credit for reshoring everything else.
- The Grinch Christmas Adventure for Nintendo Switch – Made in Japan
- Fisher-Price Musical Toy Deluxe Rockin’ Record Player – Made in Vietnam
- Air Hogs, Zero Gravity Racing Wall Climber – Appears to be made in Vietnam, but verify.
- Potato Head Pet-Tato Tots – Made in India
- Paper Mate Felt Tip Pens – Made in Mexico
- Barbie Baby Doctor with Blonde Fashion Doll – Made in Indonesia
- Guess Who? HARRY POTTER Edition Board Game – Made in India
A while back I wrote my piece on iconic toys not made in China. If your child doesn’t have one of everything on that list, be sure to buy what he or she is missing from it!
Better yet…go to Fat Brain Toys!
I’ve mentioned before but it bears repeating that FatBrain is by far the best place to shop for toys. Why? Let us count the ways:
- Every product on Fat Brain is hand-selected by their staff. No third-party sellers spamming the listings with counterfeit products.
- Fat Brain does sell products made in China (it has to), but it does have ACCURATE country of origin information, curated by the Fat Brain Staff. Contrast that to Amazon, where Amazon leaves it up to the manufacturer who invariably “forget” to update their listings when they move to China
- Having accurate information allows them to something Amazon never could: allow you to filter by country, including literally Not Made in China. Usually about 10% of their toys fall under this category, a lot less than we all wish, but a lot more than a few years ago. Amazon deliberately keeps this information hidden so people get conditioned not to think about it. I love how Fat Brain has gone the other way.
Here’s my advice: go to Fat Brain Toys, go to the Best Sellers, New Releases, or any individual Categories page, and filter by not made in China (or the particular country whose manufacturers you want to support, such as Taiwan or the United States).
If you go to the All Categories page, you can see at a glance all the toys not made in China. They may not be the cheap plastic injection molded junk from big brands like Fisher Price or Mattel…but that’s a great thing. Those companies are driven by corporate greed and not a love of toys, kids, and fun. The manufacturers you see here absolutely are.
