It's a bath mat, with standard features we've come to expect from Rubbermaid like anti-microbial treatment and high quality rubber. But there's a great difference: there's a hook built in to the top, so once you're done with it you can pick it up and hang it right on the shower pipe without getting your bathroom floor wet. It's one of those innovations where I think, "why hasn't someone thought of this before?"
Being lazy and leaving my bathmats stuck to the tub has been a recipe for mildew and deterioration of the bathmat material. This innovation will probably add years to the lifespan of these mats.
Rubbermail Commercial (a separate division who was not as quick as their Corporate counterparts to jump to China) also continues to produce their classic "Safti-Grip" bath mats. Those don't have hooks and are your standard bathbats with a lightly textured front, suction cups on the back, and anti-microbial treatment. Those continue to be made in Malaysia.
