I can't find an android tablet made outside the PRC. I purchased (but haven't yet opened) a Samsung A8, but found it was made in China. I've shied away from google or amazon tablets, but would buy one if it's the only alternative to one manufactured in China. Am used to android but would consider a different system. Thanks very much!

Unfortunately, lower-priced tablets are likely going to come out of China, as Samsung outsources a lot of production to ODMs there.

You'll have a much better chance of finding a higher end model like the Galaxy Tab S8 made in Vietnam or South Korea.

Avoid anything from Amazon or Apple. Both of them are all-in on China, unfortunately.
