I foolishly bought made in China drill bits years ago at a dollar store, Sure enough, when I recently tried drilling into a thin sheet of metal, the thing snapped on me.

I did some research and here are some options for drill bits made in the USA.

Norseman Drill Bit Set - Made in Minnesota

All of them have great reviews, with lots of people marveling at how these drill bits are like the ones they used to make years ago that don't break all the time. Champion seems to be the most popular of the three.
