Lifehammer safety hammers

Many of you will know the Lifehammer Classic. This product has been produced in Holland from 1983 to the present day. But… almost all of Lifehammer's new products, such as the Safety Hammer Plus, Safety Hammer Evolution, the torch and window cleaner are made in China! So beware, if you need a safety...

Re: Wüsthof Solingen factory tour

Solingen has long been known as the city where the best knives and scissors come from. I can't remember anything else, even as a child most of the knives we had came from Solingen. When it comes to scissors, there is of course another icon; Fiskars. This brand is also quite loyal to its home country...

Wüsthof Solingen factory tour

Very nice page of the brand Wüsthof from the German City of Blades Solingen . They still produce all of their knifes in Germany. Look at the factory plan with videos about each process, really nice. https://www.wuesthof.com/en-nl/company/manufacture/ https://cdn.wuesthof.com/thumbnail/57/47/18/15799...

Christmas LED trees, made in Holland

I know, Christmas is over. But I still wanted to share it with you. The Fairybell brand, a good example of "reshoring", has been producing its LED Christmas trees in the Netherlands since 2018. For the US market: https://www.fairybell.us For European market: https://www.fairybell.com/en ht...

LED light bulbs

Again a product that is practically impossible to find. In a very short time, China has completely taken over this segment. Until the beginning of this century, Philips lamps were produced in the Netherlands, later this became Poland, but for a few years now it is completely produced in China. Not o...

Gauze pads

Unfortunately, I have increasingly noticed that gauze pads are coming more and more from China. So be careful when purchasing gauze pads. Also, many professional manufacturers increasingly choose to have gauze pads produced in China. Here are some examples: https://www.medischeartikelen.nl/wp-conten...

Bathroom renovation with no Chinese materials

I recently renovated my bathroom and managed to do it completely without Chinese materials. Of course, for you Americans, the materials I used may not be available for you. Possibly, however I can at least give you an insight into how you can renovate a bathroom with the right materials. The renovat...

Water flosser, made in Thailand

In my search for a water flosser, I noticed that almost all water flossers are made in China. The well-known brands such as Waterpik, Philips and Oral B are all made in China. Philips has made models in Hungary and Mexico, which I did come across in my search. However, I think these are old mo...
