Re: Pliers made in the USA

Wow, thanks Paul! It's amazing how so many of these companies exist and make superior tools, while American consumers just go back to the brands they've trusted for years like Stanley, Dewalt, Craftsman which are all made in China now and other than the logo and the color have no connection whatsoev...

Re: Bottle Brush Not Made in China

Thanks as always for your recommendations, Paul! What I find astounding is that I spent hours searching on Amazon (and I consider myself a "power user" there) and Vikan did not even show up once, even though they have a big selection of all kinds of brushes . This is a good example of Chin...

Pliers made in the USA

It's getting ridiculously difficult to find Tools not made in China, much less one with a long history dating back to 1886. But I was pleasantly surprised to find this set of pliers from Channellock at an all-time low price of $19.95. They're advertised as made in the USA--not just the assembly but ...

Bottle Brush Not Made in China

One of those categories of products that seems like it's been completely lost of China is kitchen cleaning supplies. Once-trustworthy brands like OXO and Rubbermaid are all in on China. It's really a warning sign of what's to come. China's plan is to dominate the raw supply, then dominate the supply...

Re: Alternative to Anker for cell phone power bank / extended battery?

Looks like a few of the Amazon links to the Mediasonic Power Bank have gone out of stock. Walmart seems to have a pretty stead inventory of them, and it's a plus that you won't have to deal with counterfeits like you see all the time on Amazon. And the price is still remarkably cheap for a product w...

Best Bean Bag Chair not made in China

I was in my local mall this past weekend and my wife dragged me to a store called Yogibo . I rolled my eyes and walked in. It was filled with giant beanbag chairs, pillows, and other things to lounge on. "This has all got to be made in China", I thought. And sure enough, as I walked around...

Re: LED light bulbs

Wow, I'm jealous, Paul! About a year ago I purchased a few boxes of LED bulbs from my electric company which, of course, were made in China. Within 6 months I ran through 6 bulbs--each of which were supposed to last for 10 years. It's shocking how brainwashed we have all been at not even questioning...

Kids Nail Polish Made in the USA

One thing that's always puzzled me is why parents allow little kids to use grown-up nail polish, which contains lots of dangerous chemicals like phthalates, toulene, formaldehyde, bisphenol, and TPHP. It's bad enough that so much of it is made in China, where the safety is suspect to begin with. But...

Re: Tool category

Thanks Usaalltheway By all means, please feel free to post your findings here under "Everything Else". From time to time I'll review all the items posted here, and if there's enough from a specific category (like tools), I'll plan on creating a new board and moving all the posts under that...
