I remember when I visited Beijing in 1999 walking off the plane and being slammed in the face with a wall of smog, which persisted throughout my trip.

The amount of industrial pollution in China today is off the charts. Anyone who buys anything made in China that they ingest or inhale is a fool.

Sadly you are right. Especially in the cheap stores you will find those. I am not going to suck in the toxic chemicals that will come from these candles!

At least I think so, because I noticed there are candles without a "Made in..." on the package. Living in Germany, I am used see a "Made in Germany" when buying candles. I wouldn't mind for "Made in EU", but if there's no country of origin, I fear it's Chinese.
