Here's a new brand I came across: 3poo1 by Hearth Labs (the same people who make Healthy Earth)

They're 20 microns thick, so definitely thicker than others. But they're also made from renewable plant-based material and are compostable. Best of all, made in the USA!

Great find, w2just1min! It looks like these are available on Amazon as well, although predictably they don't show up prominently on organic Amazon search, so this poor brand has to pay to show up for its own brand over the China ripoffs. Typical.

Here are a few poop bag dispensers I found that aren't made in China.

(R)evolution™ Dog Waste Bag Dispenser - Made in Vietnam
Giving Paws Plant Based Poop Bag Dispenser - Made in USA

Good luck!

I have been buying from Doggie Walk Bags for years. Great quality bags. They just recently stopped making the bags without tie handles and the tie handle rolls do not fit in our leash dispenser. Wish I had noticed this post sooner, but funny that I found the same brand Five Star Pet and ordered some of those to try out.

If you have a leash poop bag dispenser not made in China please share :)

That’s really interesting! I hadn’t heard of these brands before, but I like the idea of companies being upfront about where their products are made. Thanks for sharing
definitely check them out.

Dog poop bags not made in China

Every since they outlawed plastic shopping bags here in New York, it's been hard to be a dog owner. Worse, when I Google "dog poop bags not made in China", EVERY organic result is...made in China, including Earth Rated, Doggy Do Good, Pogi's, Only Natural Pet, Wild One, Pet N Pet. Searches on Amazon are not much better. Amazon Basics is made in China, as as Greener Walker, G.A.S., Arm & Hammer, Reli., and of course all the no-name China brands.

Shame on these companies for supporting a country not just with a terrible track record towards humans, but even more so towards dogs.

Happily, there seem to be four options, all really good ones.

Gorilla Supply - Made in Taiwan

- These have been on Amazon for at least 10 years and are rated 4.7 stars out of 5 over a whopping 40,000+ reviews. Amazingly, they appear to be made in Taiwan. These are one of the top sellers on Amazon, as well as one of the more affordable.

Carrywell Dog Poop - Made in India

(Note that Amazon is paying a commission for purchases through this site; as always, this did not factor into my review or ranking of this product)

I was pleased as punch to see not only this new brand on the market, but also that every one of its product names begins with (Not Made in China). They state their mission as follows: "Our mission is to help reduce American dependence on China." Funny, I first noticed them when I was researching my article on best suitcases not made in China, but they make a lot of stuff, including these dog bags (which they make in India). Check them out and if you like them, be sure to leave a good review.

FiveStarPet Extra Large Dog Waste Bags - Made in USA

These bags are made in California and are longer and thicker than other poop bags. These should be flying off the shelves, but Amazon's algorithm penalizes honest sellers like them and rewards China manufacturers who manipulate Amazon's algorithm. Be sure to try them out AND to leave a positive review if you like their product—that's one of the key things Amazon looks at (and something the China brands have figured out to a science).

Lil' Archies

I'm adding Lil' Archies because when I Googled "dog poop bags not made in China", they were the ONLY ONE on the first page who actually made their bags outside of China, but they had to PAY Google to get onto page 1, even though they are one of the only brands who actually fit that description—so Google is rewarding companies who sell out to China by ranking them when they don't deserve to be ranked (making their profits even higher because they don't need to spend on advertising), while at the same time penalizing companies like this. That's why I'm mentioning and linking to them (aside from the fact that they have a fantastic product and scrapped their overseas manufacturer—presumably China.

Hope others can report their findings here.
