I believe they're actually the same thing!! Ohsay sells a rebranded version of the EZ-DUZ-IT but it's still the same great quality.

The John J. Steuby Company is a precision machining plant that owns the original American tooling and machinery once used to make classic "Swing-A-Way" can openers

Steuby makes the standard model, which is stamped and sold as the EZ-DUZ-IT. The veteran-owned company OHSAY USA buys inventory from the Steuby factory to sell under their own banner ("World's Best Can Opener")

While the core gears, metal thickness, and cutting blades are identical, they are sold in two distinct body configurations:

The Classic Standard Knob: This version features the traditional, smaller turning butterfly knob. It is most commonly sold directly under the EZ-DUZ-IT name.

The Easy-Turn Crank: This version swaps out the small knob for a long, extended metal crank handle. This configuration provides much more torque, making it easier for people with arthritis. Ohsay sells more of these.

The original Swing-A-Way name was bought by guess who? Lifetime Brands, who acquired the iconic brand that had been around for 70 years in 2008, and sent all manufacturing to China, taking production away from The John J. Steuby Company. Instead of closing shop, the John J. Steuby Company continued to make the exact same model, while Lifetime Brands completely ruined the original Swing-A-Way brand.

It's a great American story, similar to how the founders of Liberty Tableware continue to make their silverware out of New York after Oneida shut down in 2005 and its employees decided to continue to make things in the USA>

Unfortunately companies like Lifetime Brands have tons of money to spend on marketing, merchandising, and crushing their competition. But when you need a can opener, support EZ-DUZ-IT or OHSAY and if enough of us do it we can strike a blow to greedy American corporations and the cheap China ripoff manufacturers they enable

Here's one based on a design that had been made in the USA for 70 years before the original manufacturer (Swing-A-Way) moved everything to China.

It's made in the USA using the same design and of far superior quality. It's actually not that much more expensive, and every cent goes to an American family.

This is the best can opener I've ever used.

You don't need to worry about keeping it charged,

It's tiny and fits in any ktichen drawer.

It works perfectly every time.

It'll last forever.

Made in France!
